Articles about this company: AUDIOMETER RENTAL PACKAGE ENABLES HEARING TESTS TO BE CONDUCTED IN-HOUSE (27th September 2007) First Stop Safety has launched a new Audiometer rental package which allows companies to carry out hearing tests using suitably trained staff. From SEPTEMBER 2007 DON’T FEEL ALONE, USE A LONE WORKER ALARM (6th September 2007) Many people interpret the term “Lone Worker” as someone working completely on their own. However, this can also apply to employees working in parts of a factory or warehouse on their own, even though other parts of the premises are occupied. If these workers were to have an accident, it may take a long time for help to reach them and in some instances this may make the difference between life and death. From SEPTEMBER 2007 WHAT A DIFFERENCE A ONE-DAY WORKSHOP MAKES (31st August 2007) Under the new Control of Noise at Work regulations effective from April 2006, hearing tests are mandatory for everyone above the upper Action Value. It is also advised for employees who may be at particular risk of hearing loss. From August_2007 First Stop Safety looks at the importance of hearing surveillance at work (1st August 2007) Most people who have the responsibility for managing levels of noise at work will be familiar with the requirements of the Noise at Work regulations.
