« Back to news items

Scott Safety will be exhibiting at this year's Health and Safety '11 Scotland show, 7-8th September 2011.

Visitors to the Scott stand will be able to view the latest in bump protection from Scott's First Base 3, the third generation of its market-leading Protector First Base bump cap. The First Base 3 has been developed for those working in a variety of head bump-risk occupations such as manufacturing and maintenance in the aerospace and automotive sectors, as well as tradesmen, transportation and logistics workers working in environments without the risk of falling objects.

Scott will also be displaying Protégé, a technologically advanced, hand-held, durable multi-gas monitor for detecting oxygen, combustibles, hydrogen sulphide and/or carbon monoxide in industrial, petrochemical, oil and gas and emergency situations. Certified to the highest possible global performance standards, Protégé is ergonomically designed to fit in the palm of the hand.

With the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) estimating around 4000 asbestos related cancer deaths in the UK each year, Scott Safety has signalled a major technological advance for mask mounted powered respirators with the Phantom Vision. The Phantom Vision will provide greater comfort and ease of operation for users in any application requiring powered or non-powered full facemask protection.
