The new Tychem® TK suit protects against toxic and corrosive gases, liquids and solid chemicals and is specifically designed for situations where there is immediate danger to life and health. Worn with a self-contained breathing apparatus, the gas-tight, limited use Tychem® TK suit provides an effective barrier against more than 300 chemicals and is available in a front entry or rear entry design. It features an adaptive gloves system that consists of a laminated inner glove with excellent resistance to permeation by chemicals, together with either Viton® or butyl outer gloves that provide a high degree of protection against mechanical hazards. The garments also feature a large panoramic field of vision thanks to an expanded faceshield and 220° viewing angle. Further features include attached socks with outer boot flaps, two exhaust valves, a double storm flap with hook and loop closure and double taped seams. The suits also ensure the wearer is clearly identifiable – even in reduced visibility caused by smoke or poor light.
Also on display will be the Tyvek® 500 HV, which meets the requirements of EN ISO 20471 (High Visibility Clothing, Class 3), RIS-3279-TOM Issue 1. This limited use coverall combines high visibility with chemical, biological & antistatic protection in a single garment. Providing proven protection, durability and comfort, Tyvek® 500 HV has been developed specifically for those working in dangerous or dark environments and poor weather conditions. Its bright fluorescent orange colour combined with silver grey reflective bands makes the wearer highly visible at any time of day or night. This combination of high performance and high visibility makes the Tyvek® 500 HV a major innovation in the field of disposable protective apparel.
2018 has also heralded a global rebranding and recertification of the extensive range of DuPont PPE garments to make it easier for customers to specify the correct level of protection for their application and comply with the latest regulations. The global rebranding includes the ProShield®, Tyvek® and Tychem® brands and is accompanied by easy-to-use graphical packaging for easy identification. All garments in the DuPont portfolio are now certified under their revised branding in compliance with the new EU Regulation 2016/425. The rebranding will be evident on Stand E20 and company spokespeople will be available throughout the exhibition to answer questions and guide customers in their choice of personal protective garments and accessories.
