Facing extreme workplace hazards means preparing for all risks. HB Protective Clothing relies on the best possible quality and the most intensive test methods to protect workers against heat, flame and hot metal splashes thus preventing garments from catching fire even after contact with an electric arc.
This year, the HB Protective Clothing stand at The Health & Safety Event will include three innovations that are exclusive to HB:
HB-4welders - shortlisted for the SATRA PPE Awards 2014 in the Highly Commended PPE Garments category: This state-of-the-art, very lightweight welding protection equipment is an exclusive new fabric development that combines lifelong flame-retardant and antistatic properties with outstanding comfort and maximum safety.
HB-4arc -Another multi-standard collection made from highly stable, light, smooth and tear-resistant material that not only provides protection against electric arc and metal splatters, but can also withstand extreme strain under conditions involving heat, flames and sparks.
HI-VISION Parka - shortlisted for the SATRA PPE Awards 2014 in the Best PPE Garments category: For the first time certified as a direct laminate in the signal high-visibility colour orange, in accordance with the latest EN 20471 standard for high-visibility clothing. The exceptionally windproof and water-repellent composite fabric meets the criteria of six standards: DIN EN 20471 class 2, DIN EN 61482-1-2 class 2, DIN EN 1149-5, DIN EN ISO 11612 A1/B1/C1, DIN EN ISO 11611 class 1 A1 and DIN EN 343 class 3/3.
HB Protective Clothing is also presenting its extensive and exclusive range of garments made of the proven fabric INDURA UltraSoft from WESTEX. These include numerous multi-standard products whose fabric is permanently flame-retardant throughout its service life. The clothing range covers trousers, dungarees, shirts, jackets, coats, coveralls, and long-sleeved FR polo and T-shirts.
The "INDURA ULTRASOFT ANTISTATIC" collection includes not only single-layer jackets and trousers, but also dual-layer versions of each product, which offer an electric arc protection level of 7 kA / Class 2 thanks to the dual-layer production method. Each Westex garment also has an assigned ATPV.
Our "INDURA CANVAS" collection, meanwhile, features a cutting-edge design that is highly influenced by the leisure aesthetic of contemporary workwear. Its appearance is defined by two key aspects: the three-colour scheme of navy, medium grey and red, and the white contrasting seams that emphasise the functional details and exceptionally comfortable fit.
