Cleanroom overhead lifting solution for food manufacturer

Advanced Handling recently installed an overhead lifting solution for a food manufacturer based in Lincolnshire. The handling solution was designed to reduce manual handling and be suitable within a new clean room area. The process involved handling liquid filled containers weighing between 10-25kg each. The process required the operative to lift a container and pour the liquid and then lower.
The new solution from Advanced Handling's Movomech range now provides an overhead solution where a pneumatic line lifter with bespoke attachment operates on a rail, offering no more than 3kg of operator force to lift and move the containers. This system also includes a quick attachment of the bespoke mechanical grips including a simple hook to allow easy and ergonomic handling. To create a suitable clean room solution the rail system installed has smooth aluminium profiles.
As a result of this type of installation, while the repetitive nature of this task still remains, the weight of the load and the strain on the operative has been reduced, creating an improved ergonomic handling process.
Advanced Handling are exhibiting on Stand H22, displaying a small scale Movomech system to offer visitors the opportunity to experience the weightless handling offered by this solution.
