The annual numbers of fatal accidents have fallen, yet cultures still vary widely, with workplaces ranging from those with strong and well informed leaders demanding continuous improvement, to others where basic and often inexpensive controls are not in place and the "weve always done it that way and "itll never happen here attitudes persist.

Rosemary will share some of her experiences and make a case for improved competence and commitment at all levels, to narrow the gap between the boardroom and the shop floor and challenge the complacency which can arise from periods of nothing very serious happening, yet.

Similarly, there is greater clarity on what isnt a confined space and, mixed in with guidance on training and equipment inspection, theres plenty to talk about.
