May 28th 2009

As the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) prepares to change the first aid at work regulations – for the first time in 25 years – do you know how it will affect you and what your company will need to do to comply?

St John Ambulance is available at The Health and Safety 09 show in Bolton to help you deal with your responsibilities in this area and inform you of health and safety and first aid courses which will help you meet your legal obligations.

St John Ambulance works closely with the HSE and is at the forefront of communicating these changes to make sure companies get the right information at the right time. The changes will not be fully published or come into effect until 1 October, but St John Ambulance is encouraging businesses to plan now, review their risk assessments and is offering impartial advice to guide organisations through the changes.

From 1 October, businesses will be expected to make appropriate provision to meet the new first aid at work regulations. We know this can be daunting and to help you prepare St John Ambulance has provided a comprehensive set of answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) on its website.
